The headlines read “A prescription drug that could save the city its 2025 trial run”. As the 2023 study was announced, a group of Toronto-area health regulators urged the city’s chief medical officer, Dr. David Neumeier, to stop taking his drug ‘Viagra’.
“This is not about stopping a drug. This is about allowing the public to have the best possible care for their health,” the Health Minister, Greg Hunt, said at a news conference.
“The public is entitled to know the best possible treatment for their health, and that is why this is important,” he said.
The drug has been prescribed by a number of doctors, including Dr. David Neumeier, who is also the chief medical officer at the City Health Council. Since last year, he has prescribed Viagra, which the city has already taken from other doctors.
The drug, which is sold as a pill, was first approved in 1998, and it is currently only available in tablets. Viagra and other similar medicines for erectile dysfunction are used to treat men with impotence. The drug has also been used by men who have suffered from premature ejaculation or who have suffered from a condition known as penile bleeding.
“There is no scientific evidence that Viagra will be able to treat the symptoms of impotence or even make any changes to their lifestyle,” Hunt said.
The City Health Council has expressed interest in the drug and in Mr. Neumeier’s decision.
Viagra was first approved in 1998, and it was approved for use in the province in 2003. In 2003, Viagra was the first prescription medication used for erectile dysfunction.

While the provincial drug commission is aware of the city’s concerns, they have not made any changes to their prescription requirements.
“We remain committed to our commitment to the safety and well-being of the public, and we remain aware of the concerns that are being raised by the public,” Mosey said.
“We remain committed to providing quality and affordable care for people living with BPH and the care they deserve.”

The researchers used data from a study of men aged 50 and above who had tried Viagra to assess their erectile dysfunction (ED).
